How to Make the World a Better Place
The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) West campus is hosting a ton of speakers this week (March 5-8, 2012) for what they call Innovation Week, or iWeek. The idea is to discuss the importance of creativity and innovation skills – things many employers say are lacking in recent college graduates. All the sessions are free and open to the public except for Steve Wozniak‘s talk. Yeah, that Steve Wozniak. The free tickets to that event are all gone – within ten minutes.
One of the other (less-exciting-than-Woz) speakers will be Locusic founder and CEO, Jake Kerber – that’s me. My talk is entitled, “How to Identify Opportunities, Innovate and Make Money“. An alternate title I toyed with for a bit was, “How to Solve All the World’s Problems”. I thought that might be a bit too grandiose.
I’ll give my talk on Thursday, March 8th at 8:30 am in Room 121E of the DMACC West campus – 5959 Grand Avenue, West Des Moines, IA 50266. Come on out and heckle me!
- Jake
