Locusic Live – Ames

Locusic Live at DG's in AmesEver since our launch party and concert in Des Moines, we thought it’d be fun to do something similar in Ames. So we’re doing it!

We’re calling itLocusic Liveand it’s this Saturday, April 28th at DG’s Taphouseat 125 Main Street, Ames, IA.

We collected 7 great local bands of all the genres we could pull together – including: indie, jam, blues, metal, folk, rock, soul, hip-hop, and funk!

Line-up: Lesbian Poetry w/Nate Logsdon, Best of Fools, Calous, Maxilla Blue, Bella Soul, Tallgrass, and The Workshy

The cover charge is just $5!

Doors open at 4pm. Show starts at 5. This is a 21+ show.

DG’s is offering some great drink specials and we’ll be giving out door prizes all night- including tons of merch from local bands and a plethora of prizes from local businesses.

The point is to further introduce the people of Ames to Locusic, to celebrate the local music scene and introduce more people to the great music in the area, and to give away a ton of stuff – from local bands and businesses.

So come celebrate all things local this Saturday at Locusic Live.

If you’re a local musician and would like to donate some merch to be given out at the show, just drop it off at DG’s in Ames or at The House of Bricks in Des Moines by Friday, 4/27 – just say it’s for Locusic. We’ll make sure to get it into hands of someone sure to be your newest fan.

If you manage a local business and would like to help us celebrate the local economy by donating some gift certificates to your establishment (or anything else), let us know, (or drop it off at DG’s or the House of Bricks) and we’ll give those out to local supporters, too.

(Special thanks to The Workshy and Tallgrass for accommodating us and letting us glom onto their show.)

We updated the time – doors now open at 4pm (instead of 5pm). We just have too much great stuff to cram in!
