We recently launched “Stations” on Locusic. Now rather than selecting a genre to listen to, you may be able to listen to a Station instead.
Stations play music from a specific set of artists regardless of genre. Each station is only active in a particular area for a certain period of time. In central Iowa, we currently have two active stations: Sonic Harvest and GDP 2012.
Sonic Harvest is a compilation of about 30 artists from the Midwest put together by the folks behind Sound Farm recording studio. They’re having a showcase of 14 of those bands this Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Bombay Bicycle Club in Clive, IA.
GDP is short for Gross Domestic Product and is the name of a showase of Iowa bands put on by the Des Moines Music Coalition each April. This year’s event is Saturday, April 14th at Hotel Fort Des Moines.
If you’re in the central Iowa listening area, check out these stations now – and get a preview of the respective concerts – at http://Locusic.com then select the appropriate station.
