Meet Erika
She’s an avid hedgehog enthusiast and a Wisconsin native. And she’s joined the Locusic team.
A supporter and fan of local music, Erika works on recruiting musicians to get their music on Locusic, blogging, helping out at Locusic events, and whatever other stuff comes up. If you see her around, say “Hi.”
Erika is a junior at Drake University studying magazine journalism and international relations with a minor in entrepreneurship. When she isn’t attempting to tackle accounting homework (ew, numbers) you can find her editing articles for Drake’s student-run magazine, DrakeMag where she currently resides as the editor-in-chief. Aside from schoolwork and DrakeMag, Erika works at Meredith Corporation in the Special Interest Media Copy Desk routing files to and from editors and editing once in a while.
Favorite local band? Bright Giant.
Favorite band of all time? Ratatat.
Favorite local music hangout? Jazz Night at The Lift on Tuesdays. A week isn’t complete without the Uplift Quartet.
Dream job? Working as an editor/writer with a music magazine.
